Extremely clean and well presented rooms and bar/restaurant; super friendly and helpful staff (the owners are lovely); great location to base yourself to visit places like Rye/Camber/Dungeness with a good size car park and right on the high street. Breakfast was lovely and really well presented - delicious cooked tomatoes! Only down side was the road noise but that's expected being on a high street.
The festive lunch waa delicious, we had a wonderful lunch with family and friends, the hotel was warm and qelcoming, service very good, car park on site.
Lovely food. We went for the steak and it was outstanding. Plentiful of it and so tasty! Food came out quick and hot - and not too expensive! Would recommend. Lovely atmosphere inside too :)
Plenty of parking. Great service. Nice food. And they accommodated 16 of us at short notice. Giving us a whole dining room to ourselves, which was lovely. Would definitely come back here.
Really cute hotel. Rooms a little on the squeezy small size, but given it's a 15th century building, you have to just roll with it. Rooms super clean. Shower room super clean. Carpet in stairs to rooms defo needs a change. Go dark. Staff really lovely and friendly, even with our 2 noisy, happy dogs. Definitely recommend and will stay again in order to access the beaches in Camber. Great stay all round!
Came here one evening for tea as we were staying at a local campsite. The service was very friendly and excellent. The food was brilliant, had the pork belly and it was delicious. Would highly recommend.
For me, the Ship Hotel is completely me. It is quirky, it offers delicious food, functions, free wifii, parking (check in for this) but for me the room I stayed was adorable. Small maybe, but I only required a room to sleep. A beautifully clean bathroom with ALL things youd need for a shower, plus, hair and conditioner. I slept incredibly well. The water system growls once the loo flushes, which is an additional quirky element. You have heating, a fan blower, additional duvet if you require it, plenty of tea, milk, coffee and biscuits in your room. The food available is affordable. Breakfast was part of my room cost, which was cheaper than Premier/Holiday Inn. Im looking firward to future visits as my friend has recently moved nearby.
A large group of us came for food today, staff were super accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The menu had a great range of dishes, so theres something for everyone. All the food was delicious, the puddings are definitely some of the best I've eve tasted (the lemon creme brulee is sensational!). Portion sizes are generous and pricing is very fair for quantity and quality. I 100% recommend to The Ship to everyone who wants great quality food for family friendly prices. We will be returning for all our family get togethers now
A lovely stay at the Ship Hotel. A really good meal and well kept Cask Ale before a comfortable nights sleep. The breakfast was generous and delicious. A proper hospitable welcoming place.
